Day 1

Upon arrival in Antananarivo, your clients will transfer to their hotel for a relaxing start. It’s a calm introduction before the adventures begin.

Day 2

After breakfast, your clients will head to Antsirabe via National Road 7, traveling through the distinctive Malagasy highlands. They'll enjoy views of rice terraces, charming hamlets, and herds of zebu—let’s hope the zebus are feeling photogenic! A stop in Ambatolampy includes a visit to an aluminium foundry, showcasing local craftsmanship. In Antsirabe, a vibrant thermal town known for rickshaw traffic, your clients will have time for a city tour and lunch at their own leisure.

Day 3

After breakfast, your clients have a free day in Antsirabe. They can opt to visit Tritriva Lake—a spot the locals approach with a mix of respect and caution. For travelers, it’s a stunning natural site not to be missed. The lake has a special atmosphere, almost as if it’s winking at you. Guides will share the local fady (taboos) and passionately recount the tale of two star-crossed lovers linked to the lake. In the afternoon, a city tour by pousse-pousse (not included) offers a leisurely way to explore Antsirabe's wide avenues lined with jacaranda and plane trees. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience another side of Madagascar’s local life.

Day 4

After breakfast, your clients will drive to Fianarantsoa, specifically to Ambalakely, with a stop in Ambositra. Ambositra is renowned for its Zafimaniry art, which gained UNESCO World Heritage status in 2008. This art is famous for its intricate geometric patterns—think of it as geometry class with a cultural twist! They will visit a few artisanal workshops to see this craftsmanship up close. The journey continues to Ambalakely, situated in the highlands, just 12 km from Fianarantsoa, the capital of the Betsileo region.

Day 5

After breakfast, your clients will drive to Ranomafana for a day of exploration in Ranomafana National Park. The primary forest is bustling with colorful birds and lemurs. Notably, they might spot the golden bamboo lemur and the greater bamboo lemur—think of it as a game of hide-and-seek with the forest’s VIP residents! A visit to the village follows. Lunch is at their own expense. Later, they will return to Ambalakely.

Day 6

Your clients have a free day to tailor their own adventure. Whether they choose to relax, explore, or discover, the day is their oyster—or maybe more like their tropical fruit, given the locale! They can decide on activities that suit their interests and pace, making this a day of endless possibilities.

Fianarantsoa

Ambalavao

Day 7

After breakfast, your clients will continue their trip along National Route 7. They'll pass through Fianarantsoa, the capital of the Betsileo tribe. The next stop is Ambalavao where they'll visit a silk production site and the Antemoro paper workshop. Here, they can see how beautiful paper is made from tree bark—a craft brought by the Arabs in the 15th century and still carried on by their descendants. Lunch is at their own expense.

After lunch, they'll visit the Anja Reserve, managed by a local association. The journey continues south through hills of savannah and rocky landscapes. Upon arrival in Isalo, they'll check in at the hotel.

Day 8

After breakfast, your clients will head to Isalo National Park, where they'll find canyons, trekking adventures, natural swimming pools, and waterfalls. It's like nature's own all-in-one entertainment center! They will encounter three kinds of lemurs—the Ring-tailed lemur, Brown lemur, and Sifaka. As they explore, they'll also search for the elusive Benson’s rock thrush and unique pachypodium plants. Lunch is on their own tab. After a day of nature-filled excitement, they'll spend the night at the hotel.

Day 9

After breakfast, your clients will head to Isalo National Park, where they'll find canyons, trekking adventures, natural swimming pools, and waterfalls. Day 10-12

Your clients have free days in Ifaty to choose their own holiday adventure. Several excursions and activities are available right from their hotel. Venture into the dry forest to spot various endemic species such as spiny plants, euphorbias, Didiéracées, pachypodiums, and Baobabs. They can do this on foot or enjoy a unique ride in a zebu charette. Feature excursions include a peaceful ride in a traditional dugout canoe, trolling, water skiing, and snorkeling. Or, they can simply stroll along the beach, mingle with the locals, and get a real taste of life in these charming fishing villages. It’s their time to enjoy, so they can take it as slow or as fast as they like!

According to their flight schedule, your clients will be transferred to the airport for their flight back to Antananarivo. A smooth ending to a gem of a trip!
