Lilongwe

Latitude 13° Hotel

Day 1: Welcome to Malawi! Upon arrival at Lilongwe International Airport, travelers will be greeted and driven to Latitude 13° Hotel. This boutique hotel offers luxurious suites and a tranquil setting. Settle in and relax by the pool or enjoy a drink at the bar. Dinner is a fine dining experience at the hotel's restaurant.

Day 2: Start the day with a hearty breakfast before heading out on a guided city tour. Visit the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre, Old Town, and local markets. Return to the hotel for lunch and some leisure time. Optional activities include a yoga session or a couple's massage. Dinner tonight is another culinary delight at the hotel's terrace.

Day 3: Today, take a day trip to Dedza, about an hour's drive from Lilongwe. Explore the famous Dedza Pottery and enjoy a picnic lunch in the surrounding hills. Return to Lilongwe in the late afternoon. Spend the evening at your leisure, perhaps with a nightcap at the hotel's cozy lounge.

Liwonde National Park

Day 4: After breakfast, go on a 4-hour road transfer to Liwonde National Park. Check into Mvuu Lodge, known for its luxurious riverside chalets. The afternoon includes a boat safari on the Shire River, offering sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Dinner is served under the stars at the lodge.

Day 5: Start with an early morning game drive, where you might spot elephants, antelope, and even lions. After breakfast, relax at the lodge or take a nature walk. The afternoon offers another safari activity, either by boat or vehicle. End the day with a romantic dinner by the river.

Day 7: Transfer by road to Likoma Island via Mzuzu Airport, and then a short flight to Likoma Island. Check into Kaya Mawa Lodge, a stunning resort on the shores of Lake Malawi. The afternoon is for unwinding on the private beach. Enjoy a lakeside dinner to cap off the day.

Day 8: Spend the day exploring Lake Malawi's crystal-clear waters. Activities include snorkeling, kayaking, and sailing. For those seeking relaxation, the lodge offers ample opportunities for lounging and taking in the serene surroundings. Dinner is a romantic beachside affair.

Day 9: Take a guided tour of Likoma Island, visiting local villages and taking in the island's unique culture and history. Return to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon is free to enjoy the lodge's amenities. As the sun sets, embark on a sunset cruise before enjoying another exquisite dinner.

Majete Wildlife Reserve

Mkulumadzi Lodge

Day 10: After breakfast, transfer back to Mzuzu Airport for a flight to Blantyre, followed by a 2-hour road transfer to Majete Wildlife Reserve. Check into Mkulumadzi Lodge, located at the confluence of two rivers. Enjoy an evening game drive followed by a gourmet dinner at the lodge.

Day 11: Spend the day on safari, with morning and afternoon game drives offering the chance to see the Big Five. In between, enjoy brunch and leisure time at the lodge. Optional activities include a guided bush walk or relaxing by the pool. Finish the day with a sumptuous riverside dinner.

Day 12: After a final breakfast, take a scenic transfer back to Lilongwe International Airport (approximately 4 hours) for your departure flight. Along the way, reminisce about the luxurious experiences and unforgettable moments you've had in the Warm Heart of Africa.
