Rovos Rail

Day 1: Departure from Pretoria
Guests begin their journey in Pretoria, boarding the luxurious Rovos Rail. The train departs for Kimberley, known for its famous diamond rush of the 1870s.

Day 2: Kimberley
Arriving in Kimberley, travelers have the opportunity to step back in time and savour the atmosphere of the old mining village. They can also visit the Big Hole, once the largest hand-dug excavation in the world.

Day 3: Northern Cape and Fish River Canyon
The train traverses the stark vistas of the Northern Cape, leading to the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon globally. Guests can marvel at the dramatic scenery before continuing to Garas Park, known for its quiver-tree forest.

Day 4-5: Kalahari Desert
The journey moves across the untamed beauty of the Kalahari Desert. Stops include a visit to a cheetah conservation project, offering a closer look at these majestic cats.
